BOLIVIA AND ALCOHOL

(Version française plus bas)

In every South American country I have been too- Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia- the locals told me they drink the most. True, they drink quite a lot everywhere, but only in Bolivia have I seen so many drunks at any hour of the day. Unconscious men laying on the sidewalk in the morning, staggering drunkards in the afternoon… I also saw two 20-something men who could have died in a car accident near Tarija, in the south, because they were drunk. It was only 12.00 PM.

Beer made in Potosi

Mini bottle of Cuba Libre (rhum + coca cola)
