Each Peruvian town seems to have a “Plaza de Armas”. That’s how the main square is called. In Trujillo, La Plaza de Armas truly is the gem of the city. The color of the walls is so bright that it makes you blink.

Peruvians and tourists alike love going there for a stroll in the early evening, or sitting on the side of the fountain while gazing at life around them. That is, when the police doesn’t send them away to benches.
