In Chiclayo, combis make the most part of public transportation. Houses bear the same number twice on their facade. Chinese restaurants also known as Chifa have funny names. And gasoline costs about $4.40 per gallon while you can buy a packet of peanuts from street vendors for a few cents.

A Chiclayo, les combis constituent la majeur partie du système de transports en commun; les façades des maisons portent deux fois le même numéro; les restaurants chinois connus sous le nom de Chifa ont de drôle de noms; et l’essence coûte $1.16 le litre tandis qu’on peut acheter un sachet de cacahouètes pour quelques centimes auprès des marchands ambulants.
